DBT Skills Training in Kent, Ohio

Monday Evenings - 6:15 PM to 8:00 PM 

DBT Skills Groups: A valuable addition to individual mental health counseling.

This is an evidence-based intervention for adults designed to treat emotion management problems by developing/improving abilities in the following areas:

MINDFULNESS

DISTRESS TOLERANCE

EMOTION REGULATION

INTERPERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS (assertive communication)

Participants learn and practice DBT skills in a standardized 6-months-long format. The complete curriculum contains 26 weekly 105-minute sessions (However, some individuals choose to attend only one or two of the skills modules). Each module is separated by 2 weeks of Mindfulness skills training.

PLEASE NOTE: Participants are required to work with an individual therapist during their time attending the DBT skills training group.
